Some suggestions that are "close" to Covington- traffic in Atlanta is terrible- avoid long drives Monday thru Friday
1. Cherokee Run- close to Covington, Palmer design, never played it but heard good things
2. Reynolds Plantation - east of Covington (against traffic!)top flight courses
3. Georgia National - never played but heard it was a real bargain
Some Suggestions for the weekend when you can travel further:
1. Hamilton Mill- Couples' first design- always in great shape
2. Windermere- Davis Love III new course- lacks some amenities
3. Woodmont- R. Trent Jones Jr. design
4. White Columns- Fazio design- expensive but worth it
Three of us are travelling over from England in September and are staying at Covington. Could you please advise which courses around the area are worth playing. Thanks
