Hi,
My name is Ed Stokes, and I am Vice President for Sales and Marketing for FORE! Magazine,
which is a new monthly golfing publication for the Atlanta area. We are a regional magazine that is
distributed in Birmingham, the Florida panhandle, and now here in Atlanta. September marks the
beginning of our 4th month here in Georgia, so we are kinda the new kids on the block. In the last two
months, we have grown from a distribution of about 120 distr. sites and 4500 copies to a point now where
we are approaching 300 distribution sites and 10,000 copies!! Hopefully you have had a chance to pick up
a copy of our FREE magazine at one of the local restaurants, hotels, retail stores, golf stores, or golf courses
that we currently ship to.
Needless to say, we are growing like crazy! Which is not really big news; Considering how large Atlanta is,
and how many businesses and advertisers there are in the area, We have a golfing gold mine to tap in to.
What's exciting for us is that in the short time we've been in place in Atlanta, our distribution has already
reached a level to where we've BEATEN the dist. of other local golfing monthly publications, our ad rates are
CHEAPER than they are, and as a bonus our adverisements will be seen in ALL THREE MAJOR MARKETS (Birmin-
ham, Florida, and Atlanta) !!! That makes us the best deal around, as far as we're concerned !!
I hope you will like our magazine. Rather than report golf scores or tell you who won the "south georgia
shootout", we try to write articles for the average, everyday golfer. We also tell you whats happening on the major
tours; give you a golf tip or two; tell you about different ideas, like golf "bets"; and give you all the local golf course
info you'll need (maps, fees, phone #s, how many holes at the course, whether they have a driving range or not, etc.)

remember, we distribute in a variety of types of businesses, not just golf courses and retail stores; and our target
